Just a quick note to let everyone know that I arrived safely in Toronto on Sunday afternoon, long before the Air France flight that ran into trouble today. Thanks for you concern.
We lived in Toronto, on the uncool side of the Bluffs, the segue into Scarborough, off Kingston, for nine months. (You'll laugh: from August, 2002 to April, 2003.) I want to move back. Visiting isn't going to do, either. I want to walk outside and feel the inside of my nose freeze into snot ice. I want to see the sky dump a million tons of snow into Lake Ontario. I fucking love that place.
It's good to hear you're alright. It was doubly worrying for me, because not only were you coming home from France today, but so was the sister of one of my friends.
